The entire paper-making process at the Samarkand factory is done by hand. Mulberry branches are soaked, stripped of their bark, boiled, and then transformed into thin yet durable sheets. The finished sheets are dried on special frames and polished to smoothness with an agate stone, just as it was done centuries ago. The result is long-lasting, beautiful paper, ideal for artistic calligraphy, souvenirs, and interior decorations.
